Dr. Margaret Cumming was born in Detroit Michigan and graduated in 1979 from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she moved to Cleveland Ohio to join an equine and small animal practice. She purchased two small animal practices in 1989 and 1992, which she was an owner and practitioner. After her only child graduated from The University of Pittsburg, she sold her practices and moved to Charleston South Carolina where she worked for 4 years for Banfield Pet Hospital. In 2023 she moved to Philadelphia and worked for Vetco. She joined Bryn Mawr Veterinary Hospital in May 2024 as an associate veterinarian. She brings with her many years of experience with strong interest in general medicine, surgery, dentistry and diagnostic ultrasound.
Margaret is married to a retired equine practitioner and has one daughter who is a Medical Doctor at Penn.
Currently she has 3 dogs, a Boston, Smooth Collie, and a rescue dog.
